I spent the first 8 years out of High-school focusing on sales and sales management. While consulting for various companies, I was always focused on my hobbies in computer programming and networking. These hobbies were a lifelong passion, and I never focused on professionally developing my skills - until COVID struck. Once I was bound to my computer, I refocused my career and started aggressively studying and practicing my skills, to one day become a software engineer.

Lead Operations Analyst | Automation Developer

Summary

I currently serve as a Lead IT Operations Analyst at Kellanova, a dynamic role that puts me at the forefront of automation technology and processes for our global operations. My focus is centered around leading a small development team that I started in the company. We design, develop, test, and implement end-to-end auto-mation applications and scripts that enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and global operations.

  • I have created over 90 automation scripts, all of these scripts have no user interaction, exceptional error handling, and end-to-end automation with at most a single click to execute. These scripts are used on a daily basis by global users and has resolved tens of thousands of tickets.
  • We have developed a full-stack React/Node.JS Express application that simplifies and automates work-ing with a Smart Locker system. Complete with custom APIs, and a beautiful React component architecture. This application will allow quick and easy vending and provide extensive administration and reporting.
  • We created a universal automation hub, where technicians of all levels can have a centralized application full of scripts that automatically fix issues ranging from Microsoft Teams, Outlook, drivers, and many more (78 total). This application is built with a front-end of C# .NET, and a back-end database in SQL.
  • I also work closely with the Vulnerability Patch Management security team to assist in creating automation tools to help drive asset and vulnerability data, as well as initiate remediation when vulnerabilities are found.

Summary

As a Systems Engineer at Kellanova in Battle Creek, I focused on building programs and scripting for automation to im-prove efficiency within the Site Support team. I also worked to resolve incidents within ServiceNow and provided user-facing technical resolution in a level 2 support role. The skills I learned in this position and my ambition for development helped me move into a role created for me to further develop automation for Kellanova, see above.
